The purpose of the Marge Crispin Center is simple and sincere: to help our neighbors in need. We strive to be there for Braintree residents who are down on their luck and need support from the community.

The Marge Crispin Center is a non-profit operated by Braintree Holiday/Friends, Inc. Since the 1970s, we have led the effort to support the residents of Braintree, Massachusetts in need of food and emergency aid, as well as providing adult day care services to seniors in the surrounding area.

Please note that proof of residency may be required to qualify for assistance.

Braintree is a very generous community. I think the harder times get, the more generous people are. They come back to thinking of others. It’s never one person who does anything. It takes a community to help a community.
— Ann Toland, Managing Director

What We've Achieved

  • Each year an average of 240 families are served, including approximately 260 children, all Braintree residents.

  • Our adult day care program has grown to 75 clients. Each client receives transportation and a hot lunch at noon.
  • The center is a member of the Greater Boston Food Bank and picks up 1,800 to 2,000 pounds of food there every Wednesday.
